Bright colors, enthusiastic runners and generous hearts marked the PACU Foundation’s Flying Colors Charity 5K and Fun Run on June 21 at Forsyth Country Day School in Lewisville, according to a prepared statement.
In its third year, the annual event reached new milestones, hosting its first-ever timed 5K, attracting 162 participants and raising a record-breaking $18,789 to help families overcome financial hardship.
(Bennett Guthrie PLLC was proud to be one of a number of community sponsors. )
This year’s event raised $7,789 more than in 2024, which marks the largest fundraising total in the event’s history and a clear signal of growing community support.
“This event is all about connection,” said Megan Brooks, PACU Foundation’s fundraising chair and organizer. “Neighbors, families and coworkers came together for a morning of fitness and fun with the shared purpose of helping those who need it most. That kind of community spirit is what makes this day so special.”
